Born and raised in Charleston, W. Va., Comrey served in the U.S. Navy and earned master?s and Ph.D. degrees in psychology at USC. He became assistant professor of psychology at the University of Illinois in 1949, then moved to USC as an assistant professor of psychology and public administration from 1950-1951. In 1951, he joined UCLA?s Department of Psychology.
Which living person do you most admire?
Ronald Reagan. He implemented the brilliant plan to bankrupt the Soviet Union by forcing them to match our spending on Star Wars and thereby reduced them to a second-rate power without the sacrifice of a single U.S. soldier.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would like to be a better golfer; however, I would settle for being as perfect as my wife would like me to be.
