What is your greatest extravagance?
Living on a sailboat for seven years (I am ashore at present).

What is your favorite type of music or favorite musical group?
Classical guitar and great choral music. Also, of course, the UCLA Wind Ensemble.

What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Patience. It is very difficult to have great passion and be patient.
