After receiving an M.D. in 1985 from Dartmouth
Medical School and an M.S. in epidemiology in 1991 from Harvard
School of Public Health, Currier completed her residency in
internal medicine at Beth Israel Hospital, Harvard Medical School,
and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Brigham and Women’s/Beth
Israel Hospital. She was medical director of the Rand Schrader
HIV Clinic at L.A. County-USC Medical Center before coming to
UCLA in 1998.
What is the best thing about working
at UCLA?
The depth and breadth of people working in HIV/AIDS. The weather
is also nice!
What is your motto?
Work hard, play harder.
If you hadn’t chosen your current
occupation, what would you have chosen?
I would probably be teaching skiing.
