KEVIN BORG
UCLA Athletics Facilities Director and Project Manager
Borg became interested in facilities management when he joined
his Lake Arrowhead, Calif., high school’s Regional Occupational
Program. “We designed and built a house during the school
year, then auctioned it off,” he said. In January 1982, Borg
began working first at the UCLA Conference Center at Lake Arrowhead
and later for ASUCLA from 1988-1991. He has been with the Athletics
Department since then.
Who is your favorite fictional hero?
Donald Duck.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Self-pride.
What words or phrases do you most overuse?
Aloha Friday.
What is the strangest incident you’ve had to deal
with at any of UCLA’s athletic venues?
Opening day of the Morgan Center when three feet of water flooded
the building.
