UCLA adds $30,000 to reward to solve attemped firebombing by animal rights extremists

UCLA has doubled the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the attempted firebombing of a faculty member’s home June 30. Acting Chancellor Norman Abrams made the announcement in the Daily Bruin’s Aug. 28 issue and also outlined other steps UCLA is considering in response to stepped up “illegal and often violent acts” by animal rights extremists against UCLA faculty members who conduct research involving animals.
