Not to Be Missed: Conscious Aging

Midlifers: How do you want to live the rest of your life? "Finding Passion and Purpose in the Second Half of Your Life," hosted by the Staff and Faculty Counseling Center, can help you figure it out.

On Jan. 16, hear Carol Segrave, an expert in creative life planning and a Senior Olympics Silver Medalist swimmer. Segrave will speak on the topic of conscious aging, the commitment to age authentically and experience fearlessly life in mid- and late-adulthood.

On Feb. 20, nationally recognized retirement authority Helen Dennis will speak about how the innovative baby-boomer generation is redefining retirement; Dennis is co-founder of Project Renewment™ and co-author of "Project Renewment: The First Retirement Model for Career Women," scheduled for publication this spring.

On March 12, in a talk designed not just for midlifers, Annika Hylmö, life coach and consultant with the Interchange Group, discusses the challenges of communication in the American workplace, the most generationally diverse in American history.

All lectures are noon to 1 p.m. at Louis Jolyon Auditorium, Semel Institute. RVSP is recommended: Call (310) 794-0245.
