Staff breakfast with the chancellor

UCLA staff members joined Chancellor Gene Block for breakfast and conversation at Murphy Hall on Feb. 21. Topics of discussion included professional development and training; diversity; housing and childcare for staff; succession planning; the accessibility and affordability of a UC education; and competitiveness and future goals for the university.

The 13 randomly selected staff participants were from all parts of the campus. Also attending were representatives of Staff Assembly and the chancellor's office. The next breakfast is scheduled for April 23. Find an application after March 1 on the Staff Assembly Web site.
