Get ready for El dia de los Muertos at this festive afternoon event for kids and families October 28 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fowler Museum.
It's Kids in the Courtyard: Calavera. Have your face painted calavera-style, twist tissue paper into marigolds, and assemble a dancing paper skeleton at this celebration that acknowledges respect for death as part of life and honors ancestors.
You can also bring a photograph of a deceased loved one to add to a communal ofrenda, or altar.
