Learn at Lunch: Getting your teen into college
Are you ready to help your teen get into college? If you're like most busy working parents — probably not.
On March 19, independent educational consultant Tiiu Lukk will offer tips on how to survive — and how to succeed in — the exciting, complex, and time-consuming process of applying for college. Lukk's presentation is being hosted by the UCLA Faculty and Staff Counseling Center as part of its ongoing series of noon-to-1:00 p.m. Learn-at-Lunch workshops.
The founder of College Maestro, which offers counseling to students on college selection, essay writing and more, Lukk will discuss the importance of getting an early start, the qualities colleges are looking for in an applicant and the activities that will enhance your student's high school portfolio.
Lukk has a Masters degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA’s Extension Program. She is a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association, the Western Association for College Admission Counseling, and the National Association for College Admissions Counseling.
Lukk's presentation is at the Semel Institute Auditorium. Please RSVP by calling the Faculty and Staff Counseling Center at (310) 794-0245.
