Calling all mermaids, fish and other sea creatures! The Fowler Museum presents a fun-filled Festival: Splash! A Celebration of Mermaids and the Sea for all ages Saturday, April 19. Come dressed as your favorite fanciful sea creature to participate in a costume procession. Cash prizes will go to the Mermaid King and Queen, Wettest, Most Reptilian, Sexiest and Most Musical. Enjoy performances, art workshops, water-science attractions and food and vendor booths. The fun begins at 11:30 a.m. Admission is free. The festival celebrates the Fowler's exhibition "Mami Wata: Arts for Water Spirits in Africa and its Diasporas" (April 6-July 28).
