A fantasy world where dreams and miracles unfold before your eyes is the setting for "Aurélia's Oratorio," an international nouveau cirque-inspired sensation that's coming to the Freud Playhouse April 9-12. Director Victoria Thiérrée Chaplin, a pioneer of the "new circus" and member of a family of legendary artists, created this showcase for dance, acrobatics, puppetry and stage invention for her daughter, Aurélia. An actress and dancer, she evokes a sense of childlike wonder in a topsy-turvy world where ice cream burns, shoes hang on hat racks and alarm clocks ring when it's time to sleep. Suitable for children ages 9 and up. Tickets for this UCLA Live event run $22-$42.
