An Evening of Soulful Rapture

Armenia's greatest living musician, Djivan Gasparyan (left) and groundbreaking Canadian guitarist and producer Michael Brook reunite on stage in anticipation of their first collaborative CD since their 1998 fusion masterpiece, "Black Rock."

Grammy-nominated Gasparyan is renowned worldwide for collaborations with the likes of Brian Eno and the Kronos Quartet. Brook is widely regarded as one of the most inventive and multifaceted forces in the music industry. His atmospheric, electronically enhanced guitar sound has graced countless films, including "Affliction," "An Inconvenient Truth" and "Black Hawk Down." Brook and Gasparyan perform separately and together, featuring the premiere of music from their new collaborative CD. They perform May 30 at 8 p.m. in Royce Hall. Tickets range from $24 to $48.
