Not to be missed!
Snakes will slither and mermaids sing at a June 29 Kids in the Courtyard event your whole family won't want to miss at the Fowler Museum.
Children become snake charmers, getting up-close and personal with live pythons and their reptile friends from the World Famous Lizard Boy's Mobile Zoo. That's from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Then at 4 p.m. Gina Vecchione and other members of Clyde Bonnie Clyde sing the mermaid blues and tell stories from the sea while the famous Venice Beach Mermaids dance. Both are in conjunction with the exhibition, "Mami Wata: Arts for Water Spirits in Africa and its Diasporas."
Both events are outdoors at the Fowler's Art Council Amphitheatre. Learn more at www.fowler.ucla.edu.
