The UCLA junior has traveled internationally every summer for four years, but has only seen England on a one-day whirlwind tour until this trip. "I'm looking forward to getting lost in the British Museum, shoppingshoppingshopping, seeing the Hardy Tree and Old St. Pancras Church — apparently Mary Wollestonecraft Godwin [aka Mary Shelley, author of Frankenstein] met with poet [Percy Bysshe] Shelley there while courting — and basically taking everything in!"

Shakespeare faves: Iago from Othello, the Witches in Macbeth, and Puck from Midsummer

On the London rain

Plenty of people have warned me about the unpredictable rain in London. It's famous for it! I've heard enough about the sudden onslaught of water pouring from the skies and pounding the ground below, and just when you're soaked to the bone, miserable like a drowned rat ... it lets up. Of course, then it's uncertain whether you should be relieved and try to dry off, or just wait five more minutes because you're going to get sopping wet again. O, finicky British Mother Nature!
