Options for systemwide salary reductions, furloughs

To deal with unprecedented budget cuts, UC President Mark G. Yudof outlines three optional plans for salary reductions and/or furloughs that are under study.
 
The Office of the President (OP) wants employees' feedback on these plans. To do that, Academic Senate members should submit their comments to their faculty executive committees or directly to the UCLA Academic Senate by July 2. Represented staff should submit their comments directly to their respective unions. Others may submit their opinions to departmental human resource offices. Non-represented staff may also send their views to Staff Advisor Ed Abeyta. Various deadlines have been set, but time is of the essence to provide OP with feedback.
