UCLA Health System, Dr. David Feinberg receive leadership award

The UCLA Health System and Dr. David Feinberg, CEO of the system and associate vice chancellor for health sciences at UCLA, have been selected by the Partners in Care Foundation to receive the 2012 Mathies Award for Vision and Excellence in Health Care Leadership. The award honors them for bringing about "a complete culture change to a more caring and respectful environment that has dramatically increased patient satisfaction."
 
The UCLA Health System, which is ranked No. 1 in the West by U.S. News and World Report, is globally recognized for its pioneering medical contributions, including advancements in organ transplantation, heart care and
neurosurgery. Feinberg oversees the system's more than 80 community and outpatient clinics and its four hospitals on two campuses: Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center; Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA; Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA; and UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica.
 
The award will be given at the Partners in Care Foundation Vision & Excellence in Health Care Leadership Tribute Dinner on May 14 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
