Letter to the Editor
Douglas Scofield, Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
Dear Editor,
Considering the growing concern for use of natural resources as well as concern for unnecessary costs in general, it is rather puzzling to me that I receive a biweekly newspaper, UCLA Today, that I did not elect to have delivered. I am a proud member of the UCLA community, and I can keep up with what's happening at the UCLA Today Online Web site.
Perhaps I could choose to receive an email every two weeks when a new online version is available? I would guess that many other members of the UCLA community would do the same. Together we might provide considerable savings in resources and delivery expenses.
The editor responds:
We are pleased to add you to our growing list of UCLA Today Online subscribers, who receive an e-mail every time the new online edition goes live. Others who wish to do the same may simply e-mail their request to today@support.ucla.edu.
At the present time, unfortunately, we are unable to put a stop to your print edition subscription. Each issue automatically goes to all members of the UCLA community who are included in the UCLA Directory. To remove an individual subscriber would require additional resources.
